Manchester Place was built in 2006 and is located at 5720 2nd Street SE in the Community of Manchester just east of the Silverhill Acura dealership. Manchester is a very small community zoned mostly for retail and office. The unit holders here find the proximity to Chinook Shopping Centre to be ideal. It does have a spattering of single family residential and apartments, including condominiums. The location is ideal for anyone who works in the South or Downtown. There are endless amenities nearby and almost no end to the amount of shopping and dining establishments.
There really isn’t too much to say about Manchester Place. There aren’t a lot of expensive amenities to maintain. It is simply a visually appealing, centrally located low-rise condominium in a very walk friendly community which seems very friendly. There is certainly a sense of community here.
Manchester Place allows for up to two cats or dogs with a maximum weight of 15kg. There is no age restriction. Construction is wood frame on a concrete foundation with an asphalt shingle roof. The units come with Titled Parking and Titled Storage which are included as part of the unit and registered size. There are 55 living units in total.
Manchester Place backs on to a children’s playground. On the day I visited there were a fair number of kids playing on the equipment provided. It seems to be one of the few condominiums in the city that I might even recommend to be suitable for kids, for this reason. Nonetheless there wasn’t any evidence of kids running down the hallways yelling and screaming, or even walking quietly. The bylaws would require that anyone living in the building not cause a disturbance which might be considered a nuisance to other unit holders.
There is visitor parking in the rear of the building and some street parking as well. All in all I would give Manchester Place a high rating for for anyone looking for a condo in a great location at an affordable price.
